Born in Mexico City, I came to California in 1984.  I retired from my career as a Clinical Psychologist and a year later became a Certified Medical Interpreter. At that time, I started to paint. I believe my training as a psychologist influences my paintings and the way I interpret what I see.  I paint to show a feeling, an emotion, a state of mind. My focus is on people but I also enjoy painting landscapes. Through my art, I aim to elicit joy and delight in the viewer by showing the beauty of the world. Currently, I am learning from the talented artist Andrea Rushing. My media is oil painting.
